The Piedmont List was founded by me, Rachel D. Originally launched as a DIY/Preschool Lesson Plan resource, it has evolved into the go-to spot for information about what’s going on in the open ended play/wooden toy world.
Here’s the basics: I am happily married and have one daughter, Vicky. I received my M.B.A. in 2009, after completing my English and Religion degree in 2007. I then went on to spend some time in higher education administration and finance, before going on to pursue a love of numbers in the accounting field. I have channeled my business acumen into wooden toys, creating the resource that The Piedmont List is today.
When I’m not shopping the newest drops or redesigning a shelfie, you can find me jamming out to 90’s rap or perusing our local thrift store for some antique books. We moved from South Florida to make our home in the foothills of North Carolina (also referred to as the “Piedmont”) and enjoy hiking and getting to know our new home!
Thanks for reading!
